The Designer - Lisa Vanderpump
Villa Blanca is the brainchild of restaurateurs Lisa Vanderpump-Todd and Ken Todd, who, besides owning SUR, have also honed their skills as proprietors of the well known London establishments Jewel, Shadow Lounge and 20 other London eateries and clubs.
Also known for her innovative and sultry interior design work and fabulous flower arrangements, Lisa delivers a visually stunning design and décor at this restaurant in Beverly Hills. “It’s sexy, white, clean, comfortable and inspired…gorgeous art, stylish furnishings and creative music selections bring life and style to the space. The ambiance is an extremely important part of the experience of eating at Villa Blanca—flowers, lighting, chairs, staff - every aspect looks great. “If the ambiance isn’t great, you might as well stay home and order take-out,” she laughs. The décor and atmosphere at Villa Blanca has turned Beverly Hills dining into a beautiful and refreshing experience.
Executive Chef - Francis Dimitrius
The Executive Chef of this stunning Beverly Hills restaurant is Francis Dimitrius, a Southern California native. Francis attended the California School of Culinary Arts, Le Cordon Bleu after receiving a BS from USC. Previous to Koi, the die-hard Trojan fan served as Chef at Matsuhisa in Aspen and Chez Melange in Redondo Beach respectively. Fresh from a two-year stint as Executive Chef at Koi in Los Angeles, Dimitrius shines as Executive Chef of this 90210 restaurant.
At Villa Blanca, Dimitrius pulls from his background in classic Mediterranean, Italian and European cooking along with Asian influences. “I am thrilled to be working with Lisa and Ken,” notes Dimitrius. “They have a vision that I know will transform how people look at Beverly Hills fine dining. From the décor to the menu, we are going to have fun at this restaurant and it will be expressed through our menu. I’m excited to be able to showcase my Mediterranean and European influences, and the menu will be truly distinctive.”
